Tennis Rules
The Chestnut Springs tennis courts are for the use of recreational members and their guests only (also see guest rules). Residents of Chestnut Springs who are not recreational members may not use the tennis courts.

General Rules
Proper tennis shoes must be worn at all times when on the courts. Running shoes and ‘street’ shoes are not allowed at any time because the special court surface will be damaged by these shoes.

At no time may the court surface be used by bikes, skateboards, motor scooters, or motor vehicles, or for sports and activities other than tennis. Anyone caught misusing the facilities in these or similar manner will be assumed to be vandalizing private property and will be subject to prosecution under the law.

Court times are posted in 1 and 1.5 hour slots as follows:
8:30 A.M - 10:00 A.M.
10:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.
1:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M.
2:30 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
5:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
7:00 P.M. - 8:30 P.M.
8:30 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
When your time is up, vacate the court immediately to allow others to use their full time slot. Parents are asked to instruct their children in proper court etiquette.

Sign-Up Procedure
Advanced sign up is permitted. However, you must not sign up for a second time slot until you have completed play on your first sign up slot.

A ten-minute late grace period is allowed. If you are late beyond the ten-minute grace period, your reservation can be taken by others waiting and ready to play.

ALTA/USTA Play
Court times may be reserved for sanctioned ALTA/USTA matches on ALTA/USTA defined play days and play times. All ALTA/USTA matches times must be coordinated through the Tennis Committee Chairman before submission to ALTA or USTA. All players on the roster must be members in good standing of the Chestnut Springs Homeowners Association as recreational members.

ALTA/USTA teams are responsible for the condition and appearance of the facilities after play. Teams should empty all court trash containers and clean up the courtside areas immediately after play.

Guest Rules
Local guests (individuals from the Metro Atlanta area) are allowed to play 2 sessions per month as long as they are accompanied by a recreational member.

Out-of-town guests are allowed to play at any time if accompanied by a recreational member.
